Add Mahleon to Chrome

Mahleon works through a small add-on in Google Chrome on your computer. Until the Chrome Web Store version is approved, add it from here. It takes about five minutes.

Download the add-on

Version 1.0.0.27, a 162 KB zip file. Use Google Chrome on a computer.

Unzip the file

Open the file you downloaded. On a Mac, double-click it. On Windows, right-click it and choose Extract All. You get a folder called mahleon-addon-1.0.0.27. Move it somewhere it can stay, such as Documents. Chrome runs the add-on from this folder, so keep it.

Open chrome://extensions

In Chrome, type chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter.

Turn on Developer mode

Use the Developer mode switch at the top right of that page. It lets Chrome add an add-on from a folder on your computer.

Press Load unpacked and choose the folder

Load unpacked is at the top left. Choose the mahleon-addon-1.0.0.27 folder. Mahleon appears in the list, and Chrome opens a page explaining what the add-on reads and sends. Read it and press I agree.

Pin it

Press the puzzle piece at the top right of Chrome, then the pin next to Mahleon, so its icon stays in view.

Back to Mahleon

Open Mahleon again from here. It finds the add-on and takes you to the next step.Sign in to Mahleon

The Chrome Web Store version

The Chrome Web Store version is with Google for approval. When it's live, Mahleon will ask you to switch to it and show you how. It takes a minute, and after that the add-on keeps itself up to date. Until then, the copy from this page is the same add-on.

If you can't turn on Developer mode

Some firms switch it off on work computers. Email hello@mahleon.com and we'll help, or wait for the Chrome Web Store version.

Updating the add-on

If Mahleon says your add-on is out of date, download the file above and unzip it. Copy everything inside the new folder into the folder you chose in step 4, replacing the files there. Then open chrome://extensions and press the round arrow on the Mahleon card. Don't remove it and add it again: Chrome would forget that you agreed and which LinkedIn account it uses.
